Motorola Droid (Sholes) picture gets much clearer

Well, it’s the best shot of this bad boy that we’ve seen so far, and confirms the enormous 3.7″ touchscreen.  Many people have been wondering about the mysterious small “chin” pictured in the early leaks, and these recent shots seem to confirm the “chin” at the bottom, complete with Big Red’s branding and the usual microphone hole.  What’s even more exciting about this snap is the existence of  the Model Number (Droid) and Firmware Version (2.0).

The Droid is supposed to be the first device to ship with Android 2.0 (Eclair), and while reports of delays are floating around, Google’s newest addition to their campus’ greenery may be the most telling of all.

While we cannot yet say that “Droid” will be the official name, it’s looking pretty good.  Now, who wants a Droid?
