Intuitit’s Home++ Gets Review
Intuitit’s Home++ Gets Review

Have you ever wanted to do away with the Original Launcher Drawer Tab? Would you like quick and easy access to your most used features? Intuitit has gone to market with the Home Replacement application Home++ that gives you just that and more. Home++ is an alternative that basically uses the Stock launcher giving you all the same options and features that you already had plus many more. One of the more intriguing features of Home++ is the possibility of having animated widgets. Another great feature is multi-functioning buttons. This Home launcher is the cleanest most feature-powered Home Replacement on the market.

Home++ is loaded with features, features and more features. Many of the basic features are right on the “Power Strip” and use self explanatory icons, such as magnifying glass as the search, microphone as voice search and the App Drawer uses the circle with down arrow. Other Icons, like the Star Icon opens a drawer with quick access to your favorite/bookmarked Websites. Another feature is the Running application Icon that opens a built-in Task Manager, where you can easily kill all running applications. A couple other features on the “Power Strip” are multi-functional icons, you can long press the magnifying glass and it will bring you to the Search settings, long press the App drawer Icon and you will be taken to the Application Settings, and long press the Notification icon and it will bring back your Status bar (if it is a must have for you). If you swipe the “Power Strip” (just like you would to change screen panels) you are reloaded with more Quick access features, you can change your phone’s ring status by tapping the speaker (you can go from ringer on/off to vibrate with a couple taps), you then have the data connection Icon which by clicking you are taken to your mobile network settings. If you then click the Service Status Icon (your service bars) you will be taken to your Wireless Controls, and when you tap the Battery Icon your phone goes to a screen that tells your Battery Use since last plug-in for a charge (I’ve only seen this with the Low battery Pop-up when you click the “why?” button.). The final two “Power Strip” features are quick access to your calendar and alarm by tapping the Date and time respectively. That’s Not all those features are just the “Power Strip” features. A few of the other great features are the Workspace Loop (that allows you to swipe in one direction to get to all Desktop Panels) and the Quick Uninstall of Applications, just hold the application over the trash can a little longer than you would if you were removing it from the desktop. One of the more interesting and possibly game changing, features of Home++ is the ability to run Animated Widgets (if you want to test an animated Widget search “Example Animated Widget” download and apply the Widget)
I Love this application, from the first days of owning my G1 I wanted to lose the Drawer Tab to have that clean sleek look. Before I rooted my G1 I tried every Home Replacement application on the Market, nothing satisfied my needs or wants. Of course once I rooted my phone I was able to pick and choose the Functions look of my Launcher this did away for the need of a Home Replacement application, until Now. The “Power Strip” Features alone were enough to pull me back to a Home replacement. Home++’s Application, Bookmarks and Task Manager Drawers are fantastic, easy and quick to access the things I use every day. Even with my widgets and several applications running in the background, Home++ is smooth and fast no Lagging on screens or Force closes while using it. I also can’t wait to see where the ability to have Animated Widgets on the desktop goes. The Workspace Loop should have included with Android from Day one. Intuitit has gotten it right with Home++, it has replaced any theme I might run on my Rooted G1. If you would like the look and feel of a rooted phone without going through the troubles and Risks of doing it, then you should Download Home++.

Great Post Great Review and yes the Home Replacement is a must. I want to start seeing android developers use this or something in their roms just to make it much different than others.

There is a Video!!!! but… I ran into an issue. trying to fix it now.
We have Video!! thank you Ja5on! please watch and enjoy.
Does this suport android 1.5?
according to the Intuitit Website it supports 1.6 and 2.0. Ill look into if it supports 1.5. thank you for reading
To keep it simple 1.5 is not supported. The application Dev. started w/ 1.6 and then 2.0 because they are most supported platforms,currently. Most 1.5 phones should be updated in the near and dear future to 2.0
This is a GREAT home replacement app. I snagged it last night and I'm very impressed. I think I like it better than any of the others I've tried so far. It's really fast and stable, no FC's at all, and LOVE the workspace looping. Completely agree that it should've been in Android from the jump. Can't wait to see what the devs bring next, but I think it'll roll full-time on my 'droids for the time being! Hope they add the ability to add more home screens, I'm sure that'll come next.
Best home app that I've actually stuck with. I haven't really experienced any negatives with it. Clean and fast…
Oh!…that's great helpful, it's so right to me! Million thanks for the article,
