First pics of the Motorola Sholes/DROID Tablet
Some people love the slide-out QWERTY keyboard on the Motorola DROID. Others like it, and some just flat out hate it. Many people wanted a touchscreen-only version of the DROID, and have been drooling since the appearance of the “Sholes Tablet” on Motorola’s leaked roadmap (image below). Well, the boys over at Mobile Android China have not only gotten their hands on the first live shots of this mysterious “Sholes Tablet”, but also the specs to back it up.

550MHz Texas Instruments OMAP 3430 processor (same processor that is in the DROID)
3.7″ touch screen w/ 800 x 480 resolution
UMTS/HSPA
8 megapixel camera with Autofocus and Xenon flash!
Android 2.0
HDMI port
3.5mm headset jack
So a well-upgraded camera, GSM network support, an HDMI port for video/TV, and full touchscreen? I’m sure a lot of people are jumping for joy right now and praying that this thing comes Stateside. If it indeed does, it has been rumored that this beast would land on T-Mobile which should quell T-MO subscriber’s beef with other carriers getting “better” Android phones.

Who’s ready for an all touchscreen DROID??
