Q2 2010 for Android OS 2.1 for Your Samsung Galaxy Portal (Spica)?

The boys over at Telix.pl have stated that Android OS 2.1 (Eclair) is on it’s way to the Samsung Galaxy Portal as they claim Samsung in Poland has confirmed it. The Galaxy Portal was released last year and recently landed on T-Mobile UK. It has been sitting with Android OS 1.5 (Cupcake) since the original release date so it’s good to hear rumours that they will also be getting some of the Eclair love that has been with us since the release of the Motorola Droid with 2.0 goodness then we had the Nexus One release giving us 2.1. Although nothing has been said about the original Samsung Galaxy getting the update, all eyes on Q2 of this year, as that’s when the update is rumoured to drop.
